Poem #4--Imagination

Imagination

Go to the door, and open it wide
What do you see? Are there good things inside?
If there are bad things, like hate and fear
change them to good things, like love, so dear
If something is small, you may make it large
for this is your world, and you are in charge
So welcome, dear friend, to this brand new sensation
This is your world, your imagination
So go to the door, and open it wide.
Take a deep breath, and step on inside.
-Karl Southwick-

Not very many things are as powerful as the human imagination. It is the true source of intelligence. One is only limited by how far they can stretch their mind. If one ceases to utilize the powers of their imagination, then theirs is a dull life indeed. Our imagination allows us to set goals, to dream dreams, and to return to a time before life started to get hard, or to a time after, when happiness is a way of life rather than a simple aspiration.

  1. This simple poem has helped me in more ways then you can imagine. It is given me the chance to see that I am not alone in manners like this. my door shut some time ago and its taken more then a crow bar to open it. its still not open all the way but keep it up and I'm sure things will get better... they always do
